The Mission, Promise, and Vision of Lifespring
Our Mission
Since the inception of Lifespring in 1974,
our mission has been to disseminate transformation as broadly
and effectively as possible. The most direct path to fulfilling
our mission has been to serve people's commitment to transformation
and, in particular, to serve and facilitate the commitment of
those who have participated in the Lifespring training.
I actually see Lifespring, Inc. as your organization
and your vehicle for making transformation available in the
world. Although I fully recognize that you may see it differently,
I hold this view because it works for me and the staff. It keeps
us aligned and true to our purpose. Often, when we reach an
impasse in our work, the answer will come to me when I ask myself,
"What will serve the graduates; what would they want us
to do?"
In fact, when I remember to stop and ask that
question, things usually clear up very fast. You see, it is
always easy for me to know what the graduates would want because
I am a graduate, as are all the staff. We are graduates first.
To the degree that we stay in touch with that basic reality,
transformation is available and Lifespring works. It could be
said that the staff and I are full-time graduates who are privileged
and trusted to work and live every day in the space of transformation.
We thank you for your trust and for the privilege.
